Jennifer Cardini

I discovered Jennifer in Paris, on my 23rd birth-night at the Pulp (that was a long time ago or maybe not too long..), but that's another story. Jennifer is the key name in France, she's done a great job at bringing the best music and the best DJs to the Parisian scene. Right now producing her own music, she's definitely got the taste: electro minimal with lots of great influences, delicate and just as dark as we love.
Don't miss her out in Berlin, check Rendez-Vous for listings or just go to her site.

Miss Kittin

Miss Kittin
The last time I saw her playing, just like a month ago, it was 7am by the beach, I had been dancing all night and I was just wrecked. But as soon as she got on stage and started bringing the rythm and the tunes I felt this energy inside of me and then I just couldn't stop dancing! Thanks Miss Kittin, you know what to play and how to make me dance.
Miss Kittin is a revolution - like all other women listed in this blog, but she is the revolution. In the 90s she opened up the ElectroClash scene together with Mr Hacker. Who is ever going to forget those tunes?

Some hints and links:
- Style: Electroclash and more and more becoming a very classy techno.
- Discos: check out some amazing remixes featuring top musicians like Hacker, Golden Boy, Alter Ego, Sven Vath, T. Raumschmiere or even Ellen Allien. After her last album Happy Violentine let's see what special gift is Miss keeping for us.

Don't miss your rendez-vous.

Ellen Allien

Dark and sexy, the first post on this blog series can only start with one name: Ellen Allien. What about her? She is the queen of techno and eveyone just loves her... but the best thing is that Ellen on the decks has opened the door to many of us. Thanks Ellen. Gals, what are we waiting for??
Facts: Founder of the label BPitch Control.

Just released a new fashion collection at www.fashion.ellenallien.com. Some funky designs, check out products in-store in Berlin only - for those lucky ones!
Discography: Stadkind must be a classic by now - i still love to play it. When Berlinette came out my perception of femaletronica changed completely: those sounds will never be forgotten. Respect. Thrills is great, Your Body My Body always makes me dance closer to someone. With Orchestra of Bubbles, Ellen has reached another level, higher level intelligent music I would call it.

All Ellen here.
